The Nurse

NPCs won’t spawn when there is already an NPC present in a player’s town or during Solar Eclipses, Frost Legion Invasions, Pirate Invasions, Martian Madness, or Goblin Army invasions, nor if players engage in PvP arena combat or chat with other players in-game; however they have a chance of appearing every day; to speed this process along they could try using a Cosmolight as well as using another method for summoning NPCs more frequently.
The Traveling Merchant will not appear if the player already owns or attempts to use a Teleportation Device at the same time or has a Companion Cube, which inflicts three damage each time it attacks them and lightens the area or interacts with entities like Nurse or Dye Trader can stop this dark-veiled attack from occurring.
