MyChart is an easy and secure online portal that provides fast access to portions of your medical records. To register, an activation code from your healthcare provider or clinic must be obtained for enrollment.

Once registered, MyChart allows you to access and communicate with healthcare providers about your medical information. Here are a few helpful hints to get you going:

Access to your medical records

MyChart can access your medical records and keep you up-to-date on your health and well-being while enabling secure communication with physicians online. However, MyChart should not replace traditional care or consultation with physicians, nor for emergencies; call 911 immediately or visit a hospital instead of using MyChart as your solution.

MyChart service is available exclusively to OhioHealth hospitals, outpatient centers, and physician offices – not independent healthcare providers not owned by OhioHealth – and accessible to them. Furthermore, this technology safeguards information with 128-bit encryption to protect against unwarranted access or use.

To gain access to your medical records with MyChart, all that’s required is a valid email address and following its prompts for identity verification. When this has been completed, a temporary password will be provided, which you can change as often as necessary. However, it should remain secret to prevent hackers from breaking in and accessing your account.

MyChart does not provide complete copies of your medical record. You may request copies through MyChart or OhioHealth Patient Portal; there may be a fee if bidding documents for legal or insurance claims purposes; alternatively, you can visit the hospital or clinic where care was received to submit a request for your records.

MyChart accounts can be accessed using a desktop browser and mobile devices, or you can sign up for in-hospital/clinic by filling out paper forms or through your appointment confirmation email or the OhioHealth Patient Portal – even your physician can sign you up!

If you wish to grant another person access to your MyChart account, both parties must fill out and sign a Medical Proxy form; an adult witness who can verify your identity should also sign.

Scheduling appointments

MyChart makes it easy to request an appointment by selecting a provider, providing details of why and when you would like an appointment, and offering availability information. Your request will then be forwarded directly to their office, where a response should arrive within two business days either through MyChart or phone – Should that prove futile, please reach out now, and they will try their best to accommodate.

MyChart offers additional solutions for tracking and managing medications with convenient features such as ordering prescription refills, monitoring drug usage, and viewing your pharmacy history. In addition, MyChart can help manage and print current prescriptions – perfect if you’re away from home or out and about! It can even connect with the care team through video visits!

When it’s not urgent, MyChart makes it easy and efficient for you to ask your doctor a non-urgent question by sending them an E-Visit questionnaire. Most doctors should respond within two business days, allowing you to get on with life quickly. Plus, you can use MyChart for medication renewal requests and accessing test results!

If someone who assists you with your healthcare is helping, MyChart allows them to access it securely. This may include spouses, adult children, or caregivers. MyChart also makes accessing billing information and making payments more accessible than ever!

MyChart is a free service available to OhioHealth patients; however, to use it, you must agree to its terms and conditions and allow others (i.e., patients of the same physician and OhioHealth system) access to your medical records. Your healthcare providers’ information in MyChart may be protected by copyright law and must not be reproduced without their prior permission. If this policy violates your beliefs, do not agree to its terms; in such case, decline the service immediately and read through MyChart Terms and Conditions for more details. Additionally, check that OhioHealth Physician Group Heritage College physicians and providers are in-network providers under your healthcare coverage plan.

Communicating with your care team

MyChart makes it easier than ever for you and your care team to connect, with emailing available securely from both computers and mobile devices. Plus, MyChart gives you access to ask provider questions, view test results, and schedule appointments online – plus it provides video telehealth visits where non-urgent medical questions can be answered quickly!

OhioHealth Mobile App allows you to access your OhioHealth MyChart information conveniently. Downloaded free from Apple or Google Play stores, MyChart provides an intuitive way of keeping up with your health – track medications and vaccination history; access upcoming/past appointments; view clinical notes; sign up for text message alerts with appointment reminders or important notifications – keeping an eye on all aspects of health.

Once you’ve signed up for MyChart, you can access your medical records from anywhere around the globe. All that is necessary is an internet-enabled personal computer or smartphone with access to log in – either using an activation code from your provider and following their instructions; alternatively, you may request one directly from your physician’s office. With MyChart, you can access lab results, schedule appointments, make payments, and more!

MyChart lets you send secure, private messages directly to your healthcare team members, such as physicians and nurses. It also makes communicating with doctors easier via telephone; depending on the nature of your inquiry, a reply could come within two business days from them. Furthermore, MyChart makes viewing and printing laboratory test results convenient.

MyChart offers another valuable feature – accessing most provider notes* through MyChart. To access these notes, click on a past appointment or hospital stay listed under Upcoming and Past Appointments, or view Admissions & Visit Summary/Visit Notes under Health on MyChart.

MyChart is available to active patients of OhioHealth physicians or affiliates and children under 18 years of age and their parent or guardian. However, it doesn’t replace in-person visits with physicians. To access your entire medical record, contact the Information Management department of your facility directly or request it in person.

Payment options

MyChart makes paying your bill online convenient for patients using private health insurance plans, with both monthly payments being automatically debited from either your credit card or bank account. In addition to paying bills online, MyChart allows accessing account history and billing statements and creating payment plans through MyChart – ideal if you opt for direct billing with private insurers. Using MyChart’s payment plans feature, monthly payments may be automatically charged to either account!

Share Your Account With Family or Loved OnesYou can share your account with trusted family members who are helping manage your care, for instance, granting access to children so they can see medical records and schedule appointments, spouse, partner, or parent.

Log into MyChart and click “Add Family Member” from the menu bar. Provide valid email and name information if possible (you could ask your doctor to create one for you if necessary), then complete registration of MyChart through electronic invitation.

Once logged in to MyChart, you can easily view appointment information, such as scheduled visits. In addition, quickly and easily update personal data such as medications, allergies, immunizations, and immunization dates quickly and effortlessly – and use its prescription refill request feature!

MyChart is available to anyone with an active account with an OhioHealth provider, including doctors’ offices, hospitals, outpatient centers, and other healthcare facilities. While this service is completely free, a secure Internet connection must also be present.

MyChart is an intuitive website offering an array of healthcare services.
