Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center
At the center of Morrisville lies this facility featuring a gym, pool, tennis courts, racquetball courts, and daily passes for residents as well as non-residents alike.
The $8 Million Renovation includes a glass natatorium, two pools, and three group fitness areas. One of these pools will offer lap lanes and recreational swimming, while a third will provide water play space for kids.
Fitness Center
Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center (MAFC) provides an ideal space and equipment solution for those wanting to exercise indoors without accessing their gym at home. Offering fully equipped gym equipment like treadmills, ellipticals, stair climbers, and weight room as well as pool, tennis courts, and racquetball courts, it provides daily passes, punch cards, and monthly/annual passes; non-Morrisville residents pay slightly higher fees.
This new and improved facility provides all you need for an ideal workout: It’s clean, affordable, and offers plenty of group classes. Unfortunately, however, their pool may be small for some users while staff may occasionally be rude, but overall, I highly recommend visiting this spot and will definitely return!
Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center was closed due to COVID-19 in late 2018 but recently reopened with significant renovations on August 31. This $8 million project features three separate swimming areas housed within a glass natatorium; one features zero-depth entry ideal for general play, swim lessons, and water aerobics, while the other was explicitly constructed with recreational swimming and lap swimming in mind. Furthermore, MAFC now features an expansive group fitness area, new locker rooms, and an expanded weight room as part of this transformational change.
I loved the new facilities; they made for a pleasant change from my old, cramped, and outdated gym. Looking forward to swimming more laps in the pool and participating in classes here; I highly recommend it for people who enjoy working out in an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, offering a wide variety of classes to choose from!
Swimming Pool
Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center recently underwent an $8 Million renovation that featured two new pools, a large group exercise area, and a weight room. Perhaps most significantly changed was a 12,000-square-foot natatorium that features three distinct swimming areas – lap lanes range from 3.5-8 feet while recreation has a zero-depth entry with a play structure in one area; another open area offers general swimming lessons as well as water aerobics.
At Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center, there is also an expansive and well-equipped weight room featuring free weights, dumbbells, elliptical trainers, stair climbers, and fitness instructors who are always ready to answer any queries about machines or other equipment. In addition, Zumba, yoga, cardio dance classes, and water aerobics classes are offered regularly at competitive fees for residents as well as non-residents of Morrisville.
I love that this gym offers family-friendly fitness with its pool, tennis, and pickleball courts – perfect for families looking for somewhere fun to work out and meet other locals! They provide daily punch cards, monthly passes, and annual passes, so everyone can find what they need here!
Morrisville is a fantastic town to call home, and the facilities at this gym are second to none! Their staff is super welcoming, the pools are always clean, group fitness classes taught by excellent instructors are available until later at night, and I love that you can still work out after your children have fallen asleep! I really recommend checking this place out!
The Morrisville Athletic Center (MAC) provides fitness and aquatics facilities to SUNY Morrisville students, faculty/staff, and surrounding community members over 18. Membership to this facility is open to anyone aged 18 and above and offers recreational activities such as racquetball, basketball, and swimming, educational programs, cultural offerings, and an array of events hosted here for all age groups.
The facility was first completed in 1988 and purchased by Morrisville Town in 1993, making some minor upgrades over time before becoming outdated due to increased population. Due to this growth in population since 1993, significant modifications had to be made in order to meet growing needs within Morrisville Town.
Racquetball Courts
Morrisville Aquatic Center provides two indoor racquetball courts to residents of Morrisville and its surrounding area at an hourly fee. There’s also a group exercise studio, swimming pool, and two lighted tennis courts available here!
The Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center was initially constructed in 1988 and then purchased by the town of Morrisville in 1993. Although minor upgrades had been implemented since, a major makeover project of $8 Million included three swim areas housed beneath a glass natatorium as well as a group fitness area, locker rooms, and weight room facilities.
Morrisville’s population has seen considerable expansion since it first opened, necessitating expansion at its facility to meet community needs. A bond referendum for the project was approved, with 74% voting yes for it in 2012.
The new natatorium features two pools: a recreational one with zero-depth entry and a water playground-like setup, as well as an exercise pool with six lanes for exercise purposes and six lanes per lance for lap swimming. Furthermore, it contains a diving platform as well as two indoor racquetball courts.
This facility is highly recommended to those searching for an ideal spot to swim laps. Situated at 1301 Morrisville Parkway, it features a beautiful facility offering plenty of amenities to its visitors while the staff is accommodating and welcoming.
Morrisville Aquatics and Fitness Center also offers various swimming classes, such as free lessons for both kids and adults.
