How to Reach Jibhi

Jibhi is an exquisite Himalayan village known for its short trails, breathtaking waterfalls, and historic temples. Additionally, this village exudes peace and serenity thanks to its peaceful lake that boasts an ethereal temple dedicated to Buddhi Nagin.

Banjar Tehsil of Kullu District lies the village. You can reach this destination by catching an overnight bus from Delhi ISBT Kashmere Gate to Manali.

Jibhi, located in Himachal Pradesh’s remote Banjar Valley, offers breathtaking natural landscapes amidst lush green forests. A great destination to unwind your soul in nature while experiencing tranquil and rejuvenating moments with family or friends, its temples, tranquil fresh lakes, and snow-clad mountains are among many attractions worth seeing in Jibhi. Plus, don’t forget the Shringa Rishi Temple dedicated to Banjar Valley’s ruling deity, which offers another opportunity to discover the local culture of Himachal Pradesh!

Jibhi is known for being the starting point for treks to Serolsar Lake and Raghupur Fort, amongst many other attractions, including Jalori Pass, Shoja, and Gushaini. Additionally, this beautiful hamlet lies close to Tirthan Valley, which makes it a must-visit spot in Himachal Pradesh.

Jibhi can be reached from Bhuntar Airport within an hour’s drive via bus or taxi service, with Chandigarh Railway Station well connected across India; board a train from Delhi and travel directly to Chandigarh before using either public or private transport options for your final leg of journey.

Chandigarh is about 467km away. From there, it’s possible to catch a bus directly to Manali. Once there, take another one to Aut, an hour prior to Bhuntar (make sure that it goes straight there and not via tunnel). From Aut, take another bus towards Banjar, a significant town in Kullu district, which serves as the starting point for various tourist sites in Tirthan Valley.

Once in Banjar, you will discover a vast bus stand from which buses run to each small town in Tirthan Valley and nearby areas such as Jibhi, Gada Gushaini Anni, and Jalori Pass. From here, a one-hour bus journey costs Rs.103 per person and offers easy transport between destinations.

Taxi

Taking a taxi ride from Kasol to Jibhi is an easy and comfortable way to reach this breathtaking destination. Multiple taxi services are operating between these two cities; make sure that you book in advance to avoid rush hours and enjoy an effortless journey. Shared taxis may also provide an economical solution when traveling in groups.

Jibhi’s nearest airport, Bhuntar near Kullu and Manali, provides transportation options such as bus or private taxi to Jibhi. If flying directly into Chandigarh gives you more flexibility – take this scenic road trip route and arrive in Jibhi, where some of Himachal Pradesh’s most breathtaking scenes await!

Jibhi can also be reached by train; its nearest railway station is Chandigarh, which offers excellent connections throughout India. A journey by train from Delhi will typically last eight hours. From Chandigarh, you can arrange a private taxi service directly to Jibhi.

Jibhi weather can be divided into three distinct segments: pleasant during summer, rainy during monsoon, and cold in winter. Daytime temperatures in summer tend to range around 25 degrees Celsius, while overnight lows can drop several degrees – visitors must bring warm clothing or blankets when visiting at this time of year!

Infrastructure-wise, Jibhi’s roads are in generally good condition. The one exception is Jalori Pass Road, which can be highly hazardous. Furthermore, since there are no mechanics within Jibhi itself, it would be prudent to have your car checked and serviced prior to traveling there; additionally, there are numerous petrol pumps nearby, and it would also be careful to bring along a first aid kit just in case something arises during your travels.

Train

Jibhi, located in the Banjar Valley of Himachal Pradesh, provides the ideal getaway for those in search of peace and serenity away from city life. Additionally, this small village serves as a gateway to some of Himachal Pradesh’s best trekking spots, making March and June ideal months to visit Jibhi! Weather-wise, these months provide perfect conditions for hiking trails and exploring the surroundings.

Bus transportation is the easiest and fastest way to reach Jibhi from Manali. Many buses operate between Manali and Aut village – the gateway for Banjar and Tirthan Valleys – taking approximately 6 hours and costing 160 INR (Indian Rupees).

Once in Aut, take a local bus bound for Banjar. These services operate every hour at approximately 35 INR per person, and once you arrive, you can board another one attached for Jibhi or any of the villages within Banjar and Tirthan Valley.

Another option for traveling by vehicle is driving your own. The roads are relatively good, and there are multiple halts along the route where food, tea, and snacks can be purchased. Just make sure your tank of petrol is full before beginning the journey!

Rent a taxi from Delhi or Chandigarh and travel directly to Mandi, the gateway to Jibhi and Tirthan Valleys. This journey typically takes 27 hours with an approximate cab fare cost of INR 12,000.

If traveling from Punjab, the route will differ significantly. From Pathankot, Kangra, and Palampur, take Route 363 until reaching Mandi, where Kullu Manali National Highway should bring you directly to Aut Village before moving towards Banjar and Jibhi, respectively.

Jibhi’s nearest airport, Bhuntar Airport, is approximately 51 km away and provides regular flights between Delhi and Chandigarh and Bhuntar. To avoid last-minute issues, it’s advised to book tickets in advance for ease.

Flight

Jibhi, located in Kullu district’s Banjar tehsil, provides an idyllic escape into nature with stunning mountain and river views that offer the ideal place for relaxation and rejuvenation. Boasting small shops, charming streets, and many waterfalls, Jibhi makes an excellent family vacation spot.

Jibhi’s ideal time of visitation falls between March and May when temperatures are pleasantly cool and suitable for sightseeing trips to nearby villages and outdoor activities like mountain biking and trekking. March-May also makes an excellent opportunity for paragliding due to clear views over valleys below from its high peaks.

Jibhi can be reached easily from Delhi by train or bus; Chandigarh Railway Station is approximately 250km away, and from there, you can rent a taxi or take a bus directly to Jibhi; although its roads may not be ideal, the drive will more than make up for itself!

Jibhi offers numerous treks to choose from, such as Serolsar Lake Trek and Choi Waterfall – two beginner-level treks suitable for people of all ages. Additionally, take in breathtaking views from the top of Jalori Pass.

Jibhi can be reached either by air from Delhi or Chandigarh by taking an overnight bus from either city directly to Manali and then traveling onward by road until Aut, where local buses provide the transport needed to reach Banjar and Jibhi.
