Dreaming Boy is a Realist

Dreaming Boy is a Realist is an unusual romantic comedy in that our hero, Wataru Sojou, self-identifies as a stalker; he persistently follows Aika Natsukawa everywhere, even after she asks him not to do so.

Rol Purtha hails from Naltor and possesses second-class precognition abilities. Although classified as such, he can still see into the future by focusing on specific objects or things and focusing on his thoughts thereon.

Fans of anime are going wild over The Dreaming Boy is a Realist, an animated rom-com that follows Wataru Sajou as he strives to confess his feelings for classmate Aika Natsukawa despite having known each other for an extended period. Unfortunately, every time he attempts this, his feelings for her are met with resistance instead of acceptance from Aika herself. However, she begins to believe he truly does love her. This show is an entertaining romantic comedy with plenty of drama, misunderstandings, and tension. Okemaru and Saba Mizore’s light novel of the same name was published online via user-generated publishing platform Shosetsuka ni Naro in December 2018, followed by its adaptation as an anime series directed by Kazumi Koga (Rent-a-Girlfriend) at Studio Gokumi with Michiko Yokote writing scripts and Masaru Kohei taking care of character designs.

Naoya Miyase and Akiho Suzumoto play the roles of Wataru and Aika, respectively, performing their lines with charm and confidence. Animation is outstanding, and it’s no secret why this show draws audiences in – Wataru begins out being quite clingy but gradually starts changing his ways, while Aika slowly falls for him.

Dreaming Boy is a Realist has officially been announced to return with its second season. While no official confirmation has been provided from either its production house or creators, fans should expect it to debut sometime during Spring 2024.

HIDIVE subscribers can now watch The Dreaming Boy, a Realist series, online, complete with subtitles or dubcasts. Additionally, a Blu-ray release will give fans the ability to watch at their leisure with unique features such as commentary tracks and deleted scenes.

Aika was relieved when Sajou changed from the clingy boy she expected him to be into someone more laid-back and mature, yet soon found herself falling back into old patterns she’d criticized him for, becoming more involved with him and vigilant about how he interacted with people – only this time she found herself giving more attention than before! Dreaming Boy is a Realist serialized on Okemaru‘s Twitter and published by Hobby Japan as a light novel; Naoya Miyase voice actors narrated all the main characters as main actors – both were voiced by Naoya Miyase and Waterparks voices!
