On her six-city tour, this evangelist has already visited La Plata, Timonium, and Elkton in Maryland, as well as Salisbury and Portsmouth Edenton in North Carolina.

Franklin Graham’s God Loves You Tidewater Tour wrapped up its six-city run in North Carolina Sunday with over 35,000 people hearing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Starting in Maryland’s La Plata, Timonium, Elkton, and Salisbury before continuing to Portsmouth, Virginia, and Edenton, North Carolina; Edenton hosted over 7,600 attendees. Graham has traveled throughout America, sharing hope and healing with communities that need it.
Franklin Graham was born and raised in North Carolina’s Appalachian Mountains, becoming an adventurous youngster who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as riding motorcycles and learning to pilot planes – yet rebelled against his saintly ways as an evangelist father, Billy Graham. Later, he wrote his autobiography Rebel with a Cause, which detailed this struggle with accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Franklin Graham served as President and CEO of both the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief organization. As an author and speaker addressing current moral and social issues that challenge Christians to make an impactful contribution to their world. Franklin often provides biblical context and interpretation regarding current national or global events such as terrorist attacks, civil wars, and natural disasters.

Tours of the BGEA’s Mission for Sharing the Gospel to Remote and Rural Areas The BGEA hosts tours as part of its larger mission of spreading the message of Jesus among everyone, particularly in rural and remote locations. A professional evangelist works alongside pastors, churches, volunteers, and residents in these communities to spread His name among them. Furthermore, these evangelistic tours include free Bible studies, sermon recordings, and other resources tailored explicitly towards church leaders who help their congregations grow deeper spiritually while leading others closer to Christ.
Franklin’s tour includes stops in small towns where his message will make an immediate and profound impact. For instance, in one city in Maryland alone, over 400 people attended Franklin’s Gospel message – including a police officer who professed faith in Jesus after hearing Franklin speak. After listening to Franklin speak and hearing how she could help with job stress and depression relief, this officer realized they needed to put their trust in God instead.
Franklin Graham has been hosting BGEA-organized outreach tours since 2017, and over 440,000 people have heard his message of hope, while 27,000 have surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ during these tours. Although their time has been highly successful, it has not gone without controversy: several UK venues banned Franklin Graham from preaching due to his views on homosexuality and marriage – however, legal action was successfully taken by BGEA against these venues’ decisions, enabling him to return later that same year! In 2024, Franklin is planning another visit back into Britain before leaving again!
