I’m retarded
Retards are people perceived by others to have intellectual disabilities. Retard is often used as an insult and can cause great hurt and exclusion; several organizations including Best Buddies and Special Olympics have campaigned to end its use, yet individuals should not overreact when someone accidentally uses it or does not understand its offensive connotations – for instance, this gif shows Sam Beckett from Quantum Leap asking himself whether they are retarded; this refers to an episode where Sam sees someone with Down Syndrome before looking in a mirror and seeing someone with Down Syndrome!
